Title: Bouncing Dark Matter
Speaker: Ennio Slavioni (Padua Univ.)
Abstract:
I will present a new mechanism for thermal dark matter production, characterized by a “bounce”: the dark matter equilibrium distribution transitions from the canonical exponentially falling behavior to an exponentially rising one, resulting in an enhancement of the freezeout abundance by several orders of magnitude. I will discuss different realizations of bouncing dark matter, and outline some phenomenological implications. Based on 2208.08453 (and inspired by 2006.15148).
