Title: Search for light dark matter upscattered by cosmic rays and neutrinos.
Speaker: Yongsoo Jho (Weizmann Institute)
Abstract: A novel mechanism of boosting dark matter by cosmic neutrinos is proposed. The new mechanism is so significant that the arriving flux of dark matter for a wide range of mass on Earth can be enhanced by several orders of magnitude compared to only by cosmic electrons. Especially, we found the extragalactic contributions are much important than galactic contributions. We discuss the conservative bounds and future sensitivity limits for such dark matter upscattered by cosmic rays and neutrinos from supernovae as well as usual stellar objects.
