Title: New Insights into Particle Physics from New Symmetries

Speaker: Seth Koren (Notre Dame U.)

Abstract:

I will discuss new symmetries that I have uncovered in the Standard Model of particle physics, which has been studied for over fifty years and is our best theory of short-distance physics. These new symmetries teach us more about the SM, how to probe it and how to connect it to grand unified theories, and also point to novel theories Beyond the SM that can solve various problems of particle physics.
